The Zero hunger initiative is anchored on the belief that we all have a right to food, and that, “the right to food is not a right to be fed, but primarily the right to feed oneself in dignity.” – Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

The Zero Hunger Initiative aims at ending hunger and promoting safe and healthy diets, in line with the sustainable development goal number two (Zero Hunger Goal),  primarily in Kenya and other African Countries, with a special focus on urban areas and particularly the urban poor settings. It is a combination of public engagement, creative capacity building of communities, community driven interventions, applied research and advocacy programs.
